Hockey in the Hood 2007 featured on WXYZ, Channel 7 TV Broadcast

"The Detroit Hockey Assocation, in conjunction with the Red Wings, hosted the third annual Hockey In The Hood tournament this weekend at the Jack Adams Memorial Arena.

The tournament featured 15 teams from around the country, including squads from Boston, Buffalo, Chicago, Columbus, New Jersey, Pittsburgh, Washington DC, Wayne, MI and the Detroit-based Clark Park program.

Willie O'Ree, the first African American to play in the National Hockey League was in town to participate in the festivities and award the "Willie O'Cup" to the tournament champion.

The Detroit Hockey Association is an amateur, nonprofit youth ice hockey organization providing competitive ice hockey programs for the developed and the developing player. Visit the DHA's Web site at DetroitHockey.org."
