I hope everyone is as anxious and excited as I am about the upcoming season!!!
As you all know there have been many changes going in our city. Some of those changes may affect us. We are having a very important meeting for all parents to attend to find what's new any changes regarding our upcoming season. This meeting will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2009 12pm-1pm (*light refreshments will be served). All should plan to be in attendance. So please save the date. I'll be there and I hope to see you there to!!!
We are currently registering for the upcoming 2009-2010 season. You should have received you player’s registration form in the mail or via email. You may also download registration forms from the web site www.detroithockey.org. (*please attachment)
We are still offering a $25.00 early registration discount now thru September 15, 2009. Please take advantage of the early registration discounts and save yourself some extra cash!!! (*please note fee must be paid in full minus discount) So please don't delay register your player today and save some extra cash!!!!
Please remember 1/2 of your fees must be paid at time of registration in order to have your child rostered. Fees for this year are: Competitive Teams (Mite-Midget) $300.00 registration fee (*this does not include referee or team fees) and the I-Program is $150.00 with loaner equipment included.

September 19, 2009 @ Jack Adams 10am-12pm
Anyone still owing any outstanding balances from last season must pay these fee ASAP this includes money for Wendy's cards!! Please see or speak with Paul Clark (treasurer) to pay these past due balances ASAP!
We will have several fundraiser's to help offset your fees as well as help raise money for the association.
Our first fundraiser for your fees is some of you guys favorite!! That's right it's pizza kit time. We will be selling Little Caesars Pizza kits starting September 14, 2009 thru October 17, 2009. All orders and monies must be turned in to Becki by this date (10/17/2009). The delivery date for the pizza kits is October 24, 2009 @ 2pm. Please remember all pizza kits must be picked up due to there is no space available for storage.
You may pick up pizza kit forms from the arena or contact Becki @ firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are also doing something new this year and we really need to get your support. We are doing an advertisement fundraising program where we are soliciting businesses to buy banners or have their logo's placed on the boards of the arena. This is a fundraiser that will help you with your fees as well as raise money for the association to make some upgrades to our arena! Let's get busy trying to get some advertisement from some of the local business we support day to day. Please check your mail for more information on this fundraiser or for more information contact Denise Beaurgard @ email@example.com. If you work for or know of a company that maybe interested in advertising at our arena and investing in our youth please don't hesitate to let us know.
Another fundraiser we need your support on is our Max and Erma's dine to donate which will be held on October 19, 2009 in Livonia. This is an all day event visit Max & Erma's for lunch or dinner and a portion of you bill will be donate back to our association. Please support this to help us keep our fees the lowest in the state and providing equipment for our players.
Please don't forget about our ongoing fundraiser's. Do you have any old cell phones or ink cartridges? If so don't throw those away give them to the DHA to help our organization earn a little extra cash!
Please also check for upcoming emails and your mail boxes for further fundraiser we will be having.
We need volunteers!!! We can not have a successful season without the help of our wonderful volunteers! Our volunteers are the backbone of this association! We thank you for all your continued support and we are going to need you even more this year. We have a goal to try to reach we would like to get 100 kids in our I-Program we need your help to accomplish this. Please tell your family, friends, neighbors, teachers, barbers, any one you meet about the DHA!!! With your help we are sure to reach this goal!
Also if you know any players looking for a team please tell to think of making the DHA their home we have the lowest fees in the state!
School has started and we will be visiting schools to recruit more kids into our program. Can the null visit your school? If so let us know.
